Dana White Biography

Dana White is a business man and current president of the Ultimate Fighting Competition MMA promotion. Early in his career, White worked as a manager for MMA fighters Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, and was interested in forming a group to buy out the UFC from its parent company Semaphore Entertainment Group. White called up his childhood friend, Lorenzo Fertitta, and told him about the opportunity, with Fertitta and his older brother buying the company later that month. After the purchase, the Fertittas placed Dana White into the president role that he currently serves in, a move that would benefit the company in an unprecedented way. In his tenure as UFC President, White has brought the company to huge heights in popularity all over the world, with the UFC currently ranked as the top MMA promotion in North America with monthly pay per views, nightly fights, and other sources of revenue.
