David Gossett Biography

David Gossett played his prep golf at Germantown High School in Tennessee and went on to play collegiately at the University of Texas.  While playing for the Longhorns he won the U.S. Amateur, Big 12 Championship and was named Big 12 Student-Athlete of the Year in 1999 in route to being named an NCAA First-Team All-American twice.  After playing for the Walker Cup team in 1999 he turned pro and began a successful career on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour.  The following year he won his first pro event at the 2001 John Deere Classic.  Although he has been a consistent performer on the PGA Tour, he has also seen time on the Web.com Tour and Adams Pro Tour.  Throughout his career he has played in some of the world’s most prestigious tournaments, including the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, The Open Championship and PGA Championship, and posted a career high 54th place finish at the 2000 Masters Tournament.
