Dean Wilson Biography

Dean Wilson is the pride of Kaneohe, Hawaii and played his collegiate golf at Brigham Young University from 1988 to 1992. After earning his degree from BYU he turned pro and played on several min-tours throughout the world. IN 1999 he captured his first professional win at the Utah Open, and would go on to win the Aiful Cup on the Japan Golf Tour in 2000. The following season he won three tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour, including the Japan PGA Championship, Japan PGA Match-Play Championship Promise Cup, and Ube Kosan Open. In 2002 he captured both the Tsuruya Open and Gateway to the Mizuno Open on the Japan Golf Tour. After winning six tournaments in Japan he returned to the states and won back-to-back Champions Challenges in 2003 and 2004. Two years later he won his first PGA Tournament, capturing The International with an impressive 34 points. In PGA Major Tournaments he has been a solid performer, placing in the top 30 at the 2006 PGA Championship, 2001 U.S. Open and 2007 Masters Tournament. In 2007 he returned home and captured the Hawaii State Open, bringing his career fullcircle.
