Dicky Pride Biography

Dicky Pride grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and starred for his hometown Crimson Tide in college. After a star studded career at the University of Alabama in which he earned All-SEC Conference honors as a junior and senior he set his sights on the pro tour. After a semi-final performance at the 1991 United State Amateur he turned pro in 1992 and began what would become a 20 plus year career on the PGA Tour. As a pro he has earned over $1.2 million and competed in every major tournament, with his best finish coming in 2003 at the U.S. Open. In 2013 he became a fully exempt player on the PGA Tour and solidified his legacy as one of the most consistent players on Tour. After the devastating tornado hit his hometown of Tuscaloosa in 2011 he organized a fundraising golf tournament and event to raise money to help in the rebuilding and recovery effort.
