Dino Gaudio Biography

Dino Guadio got his start in coaching as an assistant basketball coach at Wheeling Central High School in 1980 and quickly gained notoriety for his ability to get the most out of his players while also producing quality young men off the court.  After serving as the head coach at Wheeler from 1984 to 1987 he headed to the college game as an assistant at Xavier from 1987 to 1993 before earning the head job at Army from 1993 to 1997.  In 1997 he took over at Loyola and then headed back to Xavier as an assistant from 2000 to 2001.  That was when he got his big break into the ACC when he was hired as an assistant at Wake Forest.  In 2007 the Demon Deacons tapped Gaudio as their head coach, where he remained until 2010. He went on to serves as a broadcaster and expert college basketball analyst for ESPN, providing in-game and in-studio analysis for viewers around the world. Gaudio took over as an assistant coach for the Louisville Cardinals in 2018.
