Doug Martin Biography

Doug Martin is a former NFL running back who made two Pro Bowls with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Martin burst onto the national scene at Boise State University, playing with the Broncos for four seasons and racking up 3,431 yards and 43 touchdowns. His rushing totals are all in the top ten in school history, and he was awarded many honors throughout his career. Following his graduation, Martin was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers.  As a rookie, Martin ran for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns, a massive breakout for any player, much less a rookie. This spectacular season would earn Martin his first Pro Bowl honor, and he was named to the PFW 2012 All-Rookie team. 2013 would be a much different story for Martin, as he experienced a sophomore slump, unfortunately suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in October of that season.
