Drew Bennett Biography

Drew Bennett is a retired NFL wide receiver who played seven seasons in the league with the Tennessee Titans and the St. Louis Rams. Originally a walk on quarterback at UCLA, Bennett transitioned to a wide receiver role for the Bruins during his junior year, winning the Paul I. Wellman Award for All-Around Excellence during his senior season. Following his graduation, Bennett went undrafted in the 2001 NFL Draft, but signed with the Tennessee Titans shortly after as an undrafted free agent. His best season with the Titans came in 2004 when he scored eight touchdowns in three games, tying an NFL record. In 2007, Bennett signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams, playing two seasons with the team until being released after the 2008 season. Bennett would go on to sign with the Baltimore Ravens, but a lingering knee injury forced him to retire before the season started, finishing his career with 307 receptions for 4,412 yards and 28 touchdowns.
