Duke Johnson Biography

Duke Johnson is a talented running back for the Houston Texans.  Johnson previously spent four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, becoming useful both in the backfield and as a receiver. During his rookie season, he showed flashes of the player who became one of the greatest backs in the storied history of the University of Miami.  The Browns selected him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.  At Miami, Johnson ran for over 900 yards in each of his three seasons.  As a junior, he rumbled for 1,652 yards and ten touchdowns.  He currently stands as the Hurricanes all-time leading rusher.  Johnson was a two-time second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer.  In his junior season, he was named first-team All-ACC.  Johnson was raised in Miami and was considered one of the best prospects in his class coming out of Norland Senior HIgh School.
