Elli Ochowicz Biography

Elli Ochowicz is an Olympic speed skater who has competed in 3 Olympic Games. After graduating from The Winter Sports School in Park City in 2002, Ochowicz made her first appearance as a member of the US Team in the 2002 Olympics. At the age of 18, she competed in the 500 meters and finished in 22nd. Olchowicz again appeared in the 2006 Olympics, this time in both the 500 meters and 1000 meter finishing 23rd and 32nd respectively. In 2007 and 2008 she was named the U.S. Sprint Champion and in 2009 she set the American women's record in the 500 meters with a time of 37.74 seconds. Ochowicz competed again in the 2010 Olympic Games and finished in a career-best 17th place for the 500 meters.
