Fuzzy Zoeller Biography

Fuzzy Zoeller is a professional golfer who currently competes on the Champions Tour but has also formerly competed on the PGA Tour. Before he turned professional, Zoeller experienced a successful amateur career, winning three events between 1972 and 1973. In 1973, Zoeller turned professional, joining the PGA Tour and winning his first professional event in 1979 at the San Diego Open. Later that year, Zoeller won the Masters Tournament in his first appearance, winning the event in the first ever sudden death playoff at the Masters. For the next several years, Zoeller was one of the top golfers on the PGA Tour, winning ten events, including another major championship at the 1984 US Open. In 2002, Zoeller joined the Champions Tour, winning the Senior PGA Championship that same year, and winning his second Champions Tour event in 2004 at the MasterCard Championship.
