George McNeill Biography

The pride of Florida State on the golf course is George McNeill.  Upon graduating from North Myers High School in 1993 McNeill made his way to Tallahassee and became a two-time All-American in 1997 and 1998.  When he finished his Seminole career he played on the National Wide tour until qualifying for the 2006 U.S. Open and earning his PGA Tour Card in 2007.  Once he earned a spot on the PGA Tour he flourished, earning rookie of the year honors in 2007 and qualifying for the FedEx Cup after posting a win in the Frys.com Open.  His other PGA Tour win came in 2012 when he captured the Puerto Rico Open championship with an impressive score of 16 under par. 

McNeill is a proud Floridian and spends his free time in the sunshine state with his wife Ryan.  Since joining the PGA Tour he has been a valuable ambassador for the Seminole golf program, often returning to Tallahassee to train and visit his alma mater.
