Greg Holland Biography

Greg Holland is one of the best closers in Major League Baseball.  With a fastball that averages 96 mph and a devastating slider to match it he keeps hitters off-balance and constantly guessing.   After being selected in the 10th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals he quickly rose to the big leagues and made his debut in 2010.  For the next three years he’d bounce back and forth between the minors and the big leagues before earning a permanent spot in the Royals bullpen in 2012 and becoming a dominant force in the later innings.  He earned back-to-back All-Star selections in 2013-14 along with being awarded the Mariano Rivera Award as the top closer in Major League Baseball in 2014.
