Greg Jackson Biography

Greg Jackson is one of the best MMA trainers in the business.  As the co-owner of Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA Academy he has trained some of the best fighters of the world.  His client list includes Welterweight Champion Georges St.-Pierre, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. 

Jackson’s start in training began at a young age.  Upon his graduation from high school in 1992 he founded his own martial art discipline called Gaidojutsu, which combines techniques from wrestling, grappling, kickboxing, and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.  In 2000 his private lessons turned into the MMA School that laid the foundation for the Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA Academy.  His career as a trainer has earned him several honors and accolades including Best Coach, Best Gym and Coach of the Year at the 2009 and 2010 World MMA Awards. 

Currently Jackson trains over 50 professional MMA fighters.  He’s also an accomplished author, releasing a series of instructional books called “Jackson’s MMA – The Stand Up Game,” in 2009 and “Jackson’s MMA – The Ground Game” in 2010.
