Jake Butt Biography

The Denver Broncos selected Jake Butt in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. During his time at the University of Michigan, Butt was among the best tight ends in college football. He was a two-time first-team All-American and two-time first-team All-Big Ten pick. He won the Ozzie Newsome Award in 2015 and the John Mackey Award in 2016. Butt became the first two-time winner of the Big Ten's Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year. He was key in establishing the Wolverines back on the national stage under head coach Jim Harbaugh. Butt was also a star in the classroom and won the Senior CLASS Award in 2016.
