Jeff Overton Biography

Jeff Overton was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and went on to play golf at his home state Indiana University. While playing for the Hoosiers he was one of the top collegiate golfers in the country, winning back-to-back Indiana Amateurs in 2003 and 2004 and capturing the 2005 Big Ten Conference Championship. In 2005 he turned pro after helping the United States to Palmer Cup and Walker Cup victories and went on to earn his PGA Tour Card in 2006 after successfully graduating from Q-School. In 2009 he put his name on the map with a 32nd place finish at the PGA Championship, and topped that performance in 2010 with an 11th place performance at The Open Championship. In 2010 he finished 12th on the PGA Tour money list, which landed him a spot on the United States Ryder Cup team. Since that time he has finished 44th at the Masters Tournament and 63rd at the U.S. Open in 2011 and has continued to sharpen his skills as one of the top players in the world.
