Jessie Fleming Biography

Jessie Fleming is a standout on the pitch for the Canadian women's national team. Fleming became a national hero at the 2020 Olympics, when she scored the only regular-time goal of the gold medal final and the first goal in an overtime shootout. 

Fleming was subsequently named the Canadian Player of the Year the next three years. That amazing run culminated in a crowning achievement when she was named captain of Team Canada in 2024. 

On the club side, Fleming plays in the NWSL for the Portland Thorns. She spent her first four pro seasons in England with Chelsea F.C.

Fleming was a two-time All-American in college at UCLA and helped the Bruins reach the final of the College Cup in 2017.
