Jimmie Johnson Biography

Jimmie Johnson is a seven-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. Johnson got his start in NASCAR in 1998 and won his first race at the 2001 Sam’s Club Presents the Hills Bros. Coffee 300 in Chicago. Since that time he’s become a two-time Daytona 500 winner, four-time Coca-Cola 600 winner, four-time Brickyard 400 winner, and four-time Sprint All-Star Race winner. For his performance, he was named the Diver of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013 and earned the AP Male Athlete of the Year award in 2009. In 2011 and 2012 he was listed on Forbes.com’s Most Influential Athletes list. Due to Johnson’s accomplishments, he is considered to be one of the top three NASCAR drivers in history.
