Joe Durant Biography

Joe Durant was a three-time NAIA All-American on the golf course while playing at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. After earning his degree in marketing in 1987 he turned pro and joined the PGA Tour. His first professional win came on the Nike Tour in 1996 when he captured the Nike Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic. He’d follow that up with his first PGA Tour win in 1998 at the Motorola Western Open. Over the next eight years he’d win three more times on the PGA Tour at the 2001 Bog Hope Chrysler Classic, 2001 Genuity Championship, and 2006 FUNAI Classic at the Walt Disney World Result. His two PGA wins in 2001 earned him PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year honors and launched him into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings. Durant began playing on the Champions tour in 2014, and continues to be a consistent performer on golf’s most elite level.
