Joey Logano Biography

Joey Logano began racing at the age of 6 in his home state of Connecticut and won the Eastern Grand National Championship in the Junior Stock Car Division at the age of 7 in 1997. The following year he won the Jr. Honda Division Championship and went on to capture the 1999 Lt. Mod. Division Championship. That same year he won three New England Regional Championships in the Senior Stock, Lt. Mod. And Lt. B. divisions. After moving to Georgia at the age of 10 he won 14 consecutive races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and began working his way up the ranks. Over the next eight years he won the Lions National Championship and Southeast-based Pro Legends National Championship in route to making his NASCAR debut in 2008 at the age of 18. During his first year he won the Meijer 300 in Kentucky and went on to win the 2009 Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Award. Since that time he’s become the youngest Nationwide Series winner and youngest Sprint Cup Series winner after winning 29 races and tallying 189 top ten finishes in over 300 NASCAR starts.
