John Rollins Biography

John Rollins is the pride of Richmond, Virginia and played his college golf on the links of Virginia Commonwealth Unviersity. After earning his undergraduate degree in 1997 he turned pro and began competing on the Nationwide Tour and Buy.com Tour. His first win came in 2001 at the BUY.COM Hershey Open, and he followed that up with a win at the 2002 Bell Canadian Open on the PGA Tour. In 2003 he won the B.C. Open after a stellar 19 under par performance, and finished as the runnerup in the Buick Classic after an exciting playoff battle. In 2007 he finished as the runner-up at the Bog Hope Chrysler Classic after another outstanding performance that led to another epic playoff matchup. His third PGA Tour win came in 2009 when he captured the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. During his career he has also been a solid performer in major tournaments, placing 20th at the 2007 Masters Tournament, 42nd at the 2007 U.S. Open and 24th at the 2009 PGA Championship.
