Juan Pablo Montoya Biography

Juan Pablo Mantoya has competed on the Formula One, CART, IRL and NASCAR circuits during his legendary racing career. In 1999 he was named the CART Rookie of the Year winning the CART FedEx Championship Series title at the age of 24. In 2001 he made his debut on the Formula One circuit and won seven races with 30 podiums over the next five years. The following year he debuted on the IndyCar Series and became the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year. Thus far in IndyCar he has won two races and finished in the top three four times. In 2006 he made the transition to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and won his first race in 2007 at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 in route to being named the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Rookie of the Year. Since that time he has won two races and finished in the top ten 59 times. Montoya is one of the most marketable athletes in the world and serves as a valuable brand ambassador for some of the world’s most prestigious brand names and companies.
