Juli Inkster Biography

Juli Inkster is one of the all-time greatest golfers on the LPGA Tour. Inkster won 31 events overall and was a seven-time major champion. She is the only woman to win at least two majors in three consecutive decades. Inkster also holds the American record for Solheim Cup match victories. 

She first broke onto the golf scene by winning three straight U.S. Women's Amateur titles in the early 1980s. Inkster took home the Broderick Award as the best college golfer in the country while at San Jose State. She then took the LPGA Tour by storm, winning two majors and Rookie of the Year honors in 1984. 

Inkster has received a host of awards during her distinguished career. She was the 1999 Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year and, the following year, she won the ESPY Award for Best Female Golfer. That same year, Inkster was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
