Kassia Meador Biography

Kassia Meador learned to surf on the sunny shores of Malibu, California at the age of 14. Since that time she has become a self-proclaimed mermaid, competing around the world on surfing’s most elite level. Meador is a surfing phenom and won the first competition she ever entered at the Roxy Wahine Classic at San Onofre, California. Her performance earned her a sponsorship from Roxy, and she’s since become one of their premiere professional riders. Throughout her career she has been known for her effortless style and grace on the long board, perfecting the art of cross stepping and nose riding as a freestyle surfer. While traveling the world she has showcased immense talent and character both in and out of the water, and her influence has had a huge impact on the sport. Since joining the Roxy team in 1997 she has been featured in several photo shoots, advertising campaigns and marketing ventures. Out of the water she is also a successful entrepreneur and photographer, launching her own production company called Stardust Productions.
