Kaya Turski Biography

Kaya Turski’s start in the free skiing world was unconventional and littered with injuries.  When she finally got back in her skis for the 2008-2009 season, she earned first place at all 3 Dew Tour stops, The Homecoming Invitational, and a bronze medal at her first Winter X Games.  Turski outdid herself at the next X Games, earning gold and competed in the European X Games in France.  Turski continued to accumulate medals in the 2010-2011 season with gold at both X Games and a first place finish at the AFP slope style.  At the 2010 Winter X Games Turski earned the highest ever slope style score with a 96.66.  As Turski’s career in slopestyle skiing took off she earned five more first place in five events in the 2011-2012 season including the X Games again and Euro X Games.  Most recently, her 2013 season started off in Colorado where she took first place at the Dew Tour.
