Kevin McHale Biography

Kevin McHale is a basketball legend. During his 13 seasons in the NBA, all with the Boston Celtics, he won three NBA Championships and earned seven All-Star selections while playing stellar at both ends of the floor. Not only was he a spot on shooter, he was also a defensive force, earning three All-Defensive First Team nods to go along with another three NBA All-Second Team selections. During his career, he notched 17,335 points and 7,122 rebounds for a clip of 17.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. 

In 1996, he was named to the NBA‘s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and was honored three years later with induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. After his retirement, he became an on-air analyst for NBA TV and TNT, and also served as the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2005 to 2009 and Houston Rockets from 2011-15.
