Lexi Thompson Biography

Lexi Thompson qualified to play in the U.S. Women’s Open at the age of 12. In 2010 she turned pro at the age of 15. The following year she became the youngest golfer ever to win an LPGA Tournament when she captured the 2011 Navistar LPGA Classic at the age of 16. In December of 2011 she became the second youngest player ever to win a Ladies European Tour event, capturing the Dubai Ladies Masters with an impressive four-stroke victory. Since joining the LPGA Tour fulltime in 2012 she has won four events, including the 2014 ANA Inspiration. Thus far she has been a solid performer in major events, finishing third at the 2013 Evian Championship, 17th at the 2012 Women’s British Open, 7th at the 2014 US Women’s Open and 17th at the 2014 LPGA Championship. At the age of 19, she is already a decorated LPGA Champion, and has a bright future ahead of her.
