Lou Amundson Biography

Lou Amundson played his college basketball as a forward and center at UNLV from 2001 to 2006. After the 2006 season he took his talents to the NBA D-League with the Colorado 14ers and then landed a contract with the Utah Jazz in 2007 after being named the 2007 D-League Rookie of the Year. Since that time he has seen time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks. Thus far in his career he has been a valuable contributor on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball, providing sparks in short bursts for his team late in games. Through the 2014 season he has averaged 3.5 points per game and has become a savvy veteran presence for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his three playoff appearances with the 76ers, Suns and Pacers he has averaged 2.7 points per game and come off the bench to provide valuable points and defense in clutch situations.
