Mallory Pugh Swanson Biography

Mallory Swanson is a member of the U.S. women's national soccer team. Swanson made her mark on the soccer world at the 2016 Olympics. She became the youngest player in U.S. player to ever score a goal in Olympic play, with her goal in the 59th minute of the squads final group play match against Colombia. Swanson had made her international debut earlier that year in a January match against Ireland. She also notched her first international goal in the 83rd minute of that contest. Prior to getting called up to the main squad, Swanson had been a staple of the U.S.'s various junior teams.  In 2015, she was named the Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year and U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year.  Following the Olympics, Swanson competed In the U-20 Women's World Cup. She was the youngest Team USA member at the 2014 U-20 Women's World Cup.
