Maria Taylor Biography

Maria Taylor is one of the top on-air talents for NBC Sports. Taylor officially started with NBC during coverage of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. She was one of ESPN's top talents during her tenure at the network from 2014-21. She started as a sideline reporter for college football and other sports on the SEC Network. Taylor was promoted to serve as host on SEC Nation prior to becoming a reporter for ESPN's College GameDay in 2017. As a former two-sport star at the University of Georgia, Taylor has provided her expertise to ESPN's coverage of women's college basketball and volleyball. She began her broadcasting career in Athens as a reporter and host at IMG College. As a student-athlete, she was a three-time All-SEC performer in volleyball. She holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast news and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia.
