Mark Dominik Biography

Mark Dominik was the general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009-2013. Before entering the professional football executive business, Dominik attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a bachelors of science degree in sports management. Following college, he spent a year and a half working for the Kansas City Chiefs in both the college and professional personnel departments. While he joined the Buccaneers staff in 1995, Dominik started as an assistant of the pro personnel department and slowly climbed his way up. Later becoming a Pro Scout, Coordinator of Pro Personnel, and then the Director of Personnel. One of Dominik’s many responsibilities while managing the Buccaneers was to sign players, one of his most notable signings being in 2004 when he re-signed the Buccaneers 2004 first round draft choice, Michael Clayton, to a 5-year contract. Prior to that, Dominik was managing the Bucs when they won their first world championship, Super Bowl XXXVII against the Oakland Raiders. While his time with the Bucs certainly will not be forgotten, it did come to an end in 2011. Dominik currently resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife and three children.
