Matt Eberflus Biography

Matt Eberflus is the head coach of the Chicago Bears. Eberflus gained respect throughout the league during his four-year tenure with the Indianapolis Colts as defensive coordinator. He turned them around immediately in his first year, building a top ten defense in 2018. Prior to his stint in Indy, Eberflus cultivated an expertise with linebackers as a position coach with the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns. He originally started his coaching career at the college level, growing in the profession during a nine-year stint at Toledo. Eberflus left with Rockets head coach Gary Pinkel to Missouri, serving as defensive coordinator for eight seasons before heading to the pros. As a player, he was a two-time All-MAC linebacker at Toledo and is a member of the school's Athletics Hall of Fame.
