Matt Kenseth Biography

Matt Kenseth is a professional stock car racing driver who drives the No. 20 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the No. 20 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Kenseth began stock car racing when he was 16 years old at Madison International Speedway. After graduating from Cambridge High School, Kenseth worked for four years selling and shipping parts for Left-hander Chassis. Kenseth spent the 1994 and 1995 seasons establishing himself as a short track star. In 2006, Kenseth won the last two races of the Busch season. In 1998, Kenseth won his first Winston Cup Series race. Kenseth’s championship in 2003 became a source of controversy and criticism. Kenseth has recorded a total of 31 wins in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, 29 wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and 1 win in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Kenseth’s son Ross is following in his father’s footsteps in racing.
