Matt McCall Biography

Matt McCall is one of the brightest young college basketball coaches in the country.  During his first season at Chattanooga, the Mocs went 29-6 and won the Southern Conference regular season and postseason titles.  That earned the program a bid into the NCAA Tournament where they were a 12 seed.  McCall is considered the latest coaching disciple to emerge from the tree of Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan.  He served as an assistant coach under Donovan at the University of Florida from 2011-2015.  McCall had also been a student manager for the Gators and the Director of Basketball Operations from 2006-2008.  In between, he served a stint as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic University.  McCall has a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science and a master's degree in secondary education from Florida.  His father was a three-year letterwinner in football for the Gators.
