Mia St. John Biography
Mia St. John is a professional boxing champion, model, businesswoman and taekwondo champion. St. John attended California State University, Northridge where she compiled a taekwondo record of 27-1 and earned a black belt. She began modeling so she could pay for her education. When she was 29 years old, St. John decided to become a professional boxer. St. John made her boxing debut on February 14, 1997 and she knocked out Angelica Villain in the first 54 seconds of the fight. After her 20th fight, St. John was injured in a skiing accident that threatened the possible amputation of her leg, but she underwent two surgeries to remove a blood clot. In November 1999, St. John appeared on the cover of Playboy, as she wanted to prove that she was a feminine woman as well as an athlete. On January 26, 2008, St. John competed in her first mixed martial arts contest and defeated her opponent with a knockout. St. John is also very involved with charity work.
