Mike Neu Biography

Mike Neu is the head football coach at his alma mater, Ball State University. He has a unique background in coaching, having been on staffs in the National Football League, Arena Football League and college football. Prior to coming back to Muncie, he spent two seasons coaching quarterbacks with the New Orleans Saints. He also was a scout for the franchise from 2009-2011. Neu has a great background in New Orleans, coaching QBs at Tulane from 2012-13 and serving as head coach of the AFL's Voodoo from 2004-08. He had a head coaching stint with the Carolina Cobras after spending a year as their offensive coordinator. Neu also spent time in arena ball on the staff of the Augusta Stallions and Nashville Kats. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ball State in 1994. After being named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 1993, he spent three seasons as a player in the AFL.
