Neal Huntington Biography

Neal Huntington is the general manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was originally hired in the role in 2007 and set down on a path to make the Pirates competitive again. In 2013, the franchise recorded their first winning season since 1992 and made the playoffs. They went on to make the postseason in 2014 and 2015. Huntington got his start in baseball with the Montreal Expos and eventually became their assistant director of player development. He spent ten seasons in the Cleveland Indians organization, rising to the position of special assistant to the general manager. Huntington was a Division II second-team All-American as a player at Amherst College.
