Niles Paul Biography

Niles Paul is a professional football tight end in the NFL. Paul attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he played football from 2007 to 2010. Paul’s career total of 4,122 all-purpose yards ranks fifth all-time in Nebraska history. The Redskins selected Paul as the 155th overall draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. On July 29, 2011, Paul signed a four-year contract with the Redskins. Paul made his NFL debut in week 1 against the New York Giants. In Week 7, Paul had his first career start and he made his first two career catches against the Carolina Panthers. It was announced on April 20, 2012, that Paul had been attending the team’s tight end meetings and would be switched from wide receiver to tight end. On Thanksgiving Day 2012, Paul scored his first touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. During 2013, Paul switched positions again, this time to fullback. In the 2014 season, Paul took over the tight end position once again, this time as a starter.
