Odyssey Sims Biography

Odyssey Sims is a professional basketball guard for the Tulsa Shock of the Women’s National Basketball Association. Sims attended Baylor University where she played basketball for the Baylor Bears. As a freshman she was named National Freshman of the Year. The following year, she earned team Co-MVP honors with Brittney Griner. Sims played on the team representing the USA at the 2011 Summer Universiade held in China. The team won all six games and took home the gold medal. Sims averaged 6.2 points per game. She was selected to be a member of the team representing the USA in the 2013 Summer Universiade held in Russia. The team won the opening four games easily, scoring in triple digits each game and winning by 30 or more points in each case. The team won the gold medal and the World University games Championships. She led the team in assists with 32 and in steals wit 12. Sims was named the co-MVP of the tournament.
