Paul Cormier Biography

Paul Cormier is a college basketball coach, currently serving as head coach at Dartmouth College. Cormier started as a basketball player, playing for the University of New Hampshire from 1970 to 1973. After he graduated, Cormier served as an assistant coach at Bentley University in 1978, leaving that position in 1980 to become the assistant coach at Villanova. Four seasons later, Cormier was hired as the head coach at Dartmouth College, beginning his first stint as head coach at Dartmouth. In 1991, Cormier left Dartmouth to be the head coach at Fairfield, winning the MAAC Championship in 1997, and being named the 1996 MAAC Coach of the Year. Cormier left Fairfield in 1998, becoming a professional scout for various NBA teams. Cormier would serve as an assistant to the Nets and the Grizzlies before returning to Dartmouth in 2010 for his second stint as head coach, where he owns a 31-83 overall record since his return.
