Richard Johnson Biography

Richard Johnson is a professional golfer who has played on the Nationwide and PGA Tour. There was no doubt that Richard would pursue golf as a career especially since his father is a former pro and chairman of the PGA in Wales. Richard was the leading money winner on the 2007 Nationwide Tour and has four professional wins to his credit including the 2007 Nationwide Tour Championship and the 2007 Mark Christopher Charity Classic where he won in a playoff. With all of the pressure on him, Richard scored a hole in one on the par-4 15th hole at the 2009 Michael Hill New Zealand Open. He became only the second Nationwide Tour golfer in history to score a hole in one on a par 4 hole and for his efforts his prize was a whole pallet of Heineken Beer. Johnson has also been a participant in the World Cup in 2008 where he represented his native country of Wales.
