Sabrina Ionescu Biography

Sabrina Ionescu is one of the greatest players in women's college basketball history and the foundation of the future for the New York Liberty. The Liberty took Ionescu with the number one pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft after a storied career at the University of Oregon. She is the only player in NCAA history to record over 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in a career. She holds the NCAA record for career triple doubles and the Pac-12 mark for career assists. Ionescu swept all the major National Player of the Year awards in 2020. She was a three-time Nancy Lieberman Award winner, two-time John R. Wooden Award winner and three-time Pac-12 Player of the Year. Ionescu led the Ducks to the Final Four during her junior season.
