Shannon Spake Biography

Shannon Spake is one of the most popular on-air sports personalities in the business. She got her start in as a television personality after earning her degree at Florida Atlantic University and serving as an intern for a Miami, Florida based radio talk show. Prior to joining ESPN as a reporter she served as a production assistant at Nickelodeon, CBS and MTV and also worked at the Speed Channel as a host for NASCAR Nation. In 2008 ESPN hired her as a full-time pit reporter for the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series where she gained national notoriety for her ability to get the story from the track to the viewers. Since that time she has become a NASCAR correspondent and has become a regular contributor on SportsCenter while making appearances on NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now. In 2014 she joined the SEC Network to provide sideline reporting for college football and basketball games.
