Shaun Gayle Biography

Shaun Gayle played 11 seasons in the NFL from 1984 to 1995 with the Chicago Bears and San Diego Chargers after playing his collegiate football at Ohio State University. During his NFL career he earned Pro Bowl honors in 1991 and was a member of the Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl championship team. He was also a member of the famed “Shuffling Crew” that was featured in the legendary Super Bowl Shuffle video. In 1985 he set the NFL record for the shortest punt return in history when he returned a punt five yards for a touchdown in the division playoff game. Since retiring from the NFL in 1995 he has made regular appearances at the Chicago Bears Fan Convention and works as an expert NFL analyst for Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
