Simone Biles Biography

Simone Biles has dominated the gymnastics world in recent years.  Biles is a three-time World all-around champion and three-time U.S. all-around champion.  She also won world titles in floor excersize for three years in a row and won gold in balance beam twice.  Biles was part of gold-medal winning teams at the 2014 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship.  With 14 World Championship medals, she is the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the event.  Her ten golds at worlds are also a record for any female gymnast.  No woman has ever one three consecutive all-around World Championship titles.  She is the first African-American to be world all-around champ. While set to attend UCLA and compete for their gymnastics team, Biles instead turned pro in 2015.  Biles is a Nike-sponsored athlete.
