Taj McWilliams Biography

Taj McWilliams is a former WNBA superstar, and current assistant coach for the New York Liberty. Although she began her professional career in the ABL, McWilliams is most known for her success in the WNBA, making stops at numerous teams throughout her career. She was a six time WNBA All-Star and a two time WNBA champion. McWilliams also holds the WNBA record for most offensive rebounds in a career. Along with her WNBA career, McWilliams also experienced extreme success representing the United States in the 1998 FIBA World Championships, where she helped the U.S. earn the gold medal in a victory over Russia. After 16 year career, McWilliams left the WNBA to be an assistant coach at Rice University, and after a formal retirement in 2013, became a top assistant coach for the New York Liberty.
