Tim Hardaway, Jr. Biography

Tim Hardaway Jr. is the son of former NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway. After earning Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2011 at the University of Michigan he earned All-Big Ten honors in consecutive years in 2012 and 2013, making a name for himself and garnering the attention of NBA Scouts who were attracted to more than his name. At 6’6, 205 pounds Hardaway is both quick and can shoot, and makes life difficult for opposing defenders. In 2013 the New York Knicks selected him in the 1st round with the 24th overall pick. During his first year he made prophets of the Knicks, earning NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 2014 after averaging 10.2 points a game. Hardaway is only in the early stages of his career, but he has no doubt removed himself from the shadow his father’s all-star career casted over him. He’s his own man, his own player, and his own star.
