Tim Herron Biography

Tim Herron has been a pro on the PGA Tour since 1996 and turned pro in 1993 after a stellar career at the University of New Mexico. Prior to turning pro he played on the 1993 United States Walker Cup team, and then made his way to the Nationwide tour. He captured his first win on the PGA Tour in 1996, winning the Honda Classic and establishing himself as a top competitor on an international level. Over the next four seasons he won two more tournaments and then won the 2006 Bank of America Colonial in an epic playoff finish. To date Herron has competed in 494 PGA Tour events and earned over $18.5 million on tour. His best major finish came in 1999 when he finished 6th at the U.S. Open. He’s also finished top 20 in both the Masters Tournament and PGA Championship and captured a 30th place finish at the 1999 Open Championship.
