Tom Scherrer Biography

Tom Scherrer played his collegiate golf for the Tar Heels of UNC and then made it big on the PGA, Web.com, and Nationwide Tours. Since turning pro in 1992 he has captured four professional wins, including one win on the PGA Tour and 3 wins on the Web.com Tour. His win on the PGA Tour came in 2000 at the Kemper Insurance Open in which he shot a -13 to win by two strokes. His best finish in a major championship was in 1999 when he finished 23rd at the U.S. Open. He also has a top 25 finish at the Masters Tournament under his belt, which he accomplished in 2001. Scherrer is a top pro on tour and uses his consistent drive and touch on the greens to always stay among the top pack. He’s a man of solid character, who knows what he wants in his professional and personal life and makes it happen with a strong work ethic and dedication.
