Zion Williamson Biography

Zion Williamson was the top overall pick of the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2019 NBA Draft. Williamson was one of the great one-and-done players in college basketball history. Williamson starred for Duke University, helping lead the school to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 22.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game for the Blue Devils on the way to winning ACC Player of the Year and ACC Freshman of the Year honors. Williamson was also named national Player of the Year by the NABC and Sporting News. Prior to arriving in Durham, he won three straight high school state championships in South Carolina at Spartanburg Day School. Williamson was South Carolina Mr. Basketball in 2018 and a McDonald's All-American.
