Amanda Borden Biography

Amanda Borden captained the historic "Magnificent Seven" 1996 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team to a gold medal. They were the first American squad to win team gold in women's gymnastics. Borden also won a silver with the team at the 1994 World Championships. She won four medals in the lead-up to the Olympics at the 1995 Pan American Games, including a silver in the individual all-around competition. Following her career, Borden graduated from Arizona State and opened the Gold Medal Gymnastics Academy in the Phoenix area. She has also been involved in broadcasting and as a keynote speaker, talking about the winning mindset for athletes.
